KnoxCenter, Inc. formerly known as NEDARTS, Inc., was founded by the late William E. "Bill" Knox. It is a not-for-profit agency located in Sedgwick County, Wichita, Kansas. The KnoxCenter is dedicated to providing services to people and their families who are affected with the disease of addiction. The program is culturally specific in nature, but not culturally exclusive in its treatment of individuals. The KnoxCenter utilizes the enviornmental model of chemical addiction-treatment, which stresses the importance of rehabilitating the whole person and his/her family. The KnoxCenter targets the African American community in providing services that will enhance the future of the Wichita community while promoting visions of a brighter future for the familes we serve.
